Anthony Sassine

President

President of CLG Hedge Fund, Anthony Sassine has more than thirty years of experience in banking and real estate. Not just a seasoned lender, Mr. Sassine’s experience on “both sides of the table” gives him unique insight into the developer’s perspective. Over the past 30 years, Mr. Sassine has originated over 180 land, land acquisition/development, commercial and retail loans totaling over $5 billion through various subsidiaries of Beal Bank.

Prior to joining Beal Bank in 1996, Mr. Sassine served as an officer of two other entrepreneurial financial institutions. As Executive Vice President of Stolat Partners, a privately-held hedge fund, Mr. Sassine gained valuable hands-on real estate experience in charge of the land acquisition and development of retail, commercial and single-family residential projects.

Roebie Protacio

Senior Managing Director

Roebie Protacio is a senior lending executive with more than 25 years of experience, including 21 years with the Beal Bank family of companies. He has expertise in many areas of investing and finance, including secured transactions, structured finance, loan acquisitions and stressed/distressed situations, in various industries, including general transportation (i.e., aviation) and industrial enterprises. Over the course of his career, he has directly or indirectly facilitated transactions totaling more than $10 billion.

Prior to joining CLG Hedge Fund, LLC, Mr. Protacio spent 20+ years with CSG Investments, Inc., commercial lending affiliate of the former Beal Bank and

Beal Bank USA. Most recently as Executive Vice President and Senior Managing Director, contributing significantly to CSG’s $61+ billion in transactions since 2002. While at CSG, he served on the Beal Bank and Beal Bank USA Executive Loan, Senior Loan, and Investment Committees.
 
Mr. Protacio holds an MBA in Finance from the SMU Cox School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington.
